Anastazia Keegan

Dr Anastazia Keegan moved to Western Australia in 2015 to work as a Clinical and Laboratory Haematologist at Fiona Stanley Hospital. During her time there she helped to develop and implement a clinical governance framework that would ensure safe and appropriate transfusion practices in the newly established tertiary referral hospital. Dr Keegan then joined the Australia Red Cross Blood Service as a Transfusion Medicine Specialist where she authored the “Genomics White Paper for the International Blood Sector” following her appointment as the Clinical Lead of the “Genomics Pilot Project”, and has been responsible for specialist input into a range of innovative educational resources developed by the Transfusion Policy and Education Unit. Dr Keegan is an active member of ANZSBT and holds positions on the Education Standing Committee and Continuing Practice Improvement Standing Committee. She is a member of the Clinical Reference Group for the NBA’s Patient Blood Management Modules and the RCPA QAP Transfusion Advisory Committee.
