Robert C Gosselin
Been a licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist for 30 years, most recently as the Sr Specialist in Special Coagulation section of the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine department at the University of California Davis Health System (UCDHS) in Sacramento, CA, and currently serve as a staff volunteer at UCDHS Thrombosis and Hemostasis Center and member of UCDHS' Pharmacy and Therapeutics' Thrombosis Subcommittee. Authored or co-authored 5 book chapters and >90 publications, with recent concentration on direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) and quality issues in the clinical laboratory. A past elected officer with the North American Specialized Coagulation Laboratory Association (NASCOLA), past member of the board for the International Society for Laboratory Hematology, and former associate editor for that organization’s journal, Journal of Laboratory Hematology. Currently an associated editor for the Journal of Thrombosis and Hemostasis and for Seminars in Thrombosis and Hemastasis. Currently serve on the board for International Council for Standardization in Haematology (ICSH) as well as serving as the chairperson of two ICSH committees for generating guidance documents: 1) measuring DOACs in the laboratory and ) coagulation critical values.
