Rosline Hassan

Dr Rosline Hassan holds a concurrent position at the School of Medical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Malaysia as the Deputy Dean of Research & Innovation, and Head of Molecular Services, Department of Hematology. Dr Rosline graduated as medical doctor from National University of Malaysia and earned her Postgraduate Degree in Pathology, Hematology from USM. She is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Malaysia (FAMM) and a member of the National Specialist Registry in Hematology. As a hematopathologist, she has special interest in the molecular aspect of hematological disorders, leukemias and myeloproliferative disorders, leukemia cytogenetics, cell culture studies and stem cell studies, as well as red cell disorders including thalassaemia. She has setup molecular laboratory in Hematology department and actively involved in the diagnostic work of hematology, service management of blood transfusion and stem cell collection. She has written numerous publications both locally and internationally and has received several national accolades for her presentation at many scientific conferences. Dr Rosline has supervised many post-graduate in Pathology with Hematology speciality and PhD candidates Apart from her involvement in School of Medical Science, Dr Rosline also hold appointment as technical assessor to the Malaysian Quality Management system MS ISO 15189, Ministry of Science and Technology and assessor for national grant application, Ministry of Higher Education.
